I have heard that if I file for bankruptcy in Canada and later receive back pay from workers compensation that this money would not be touched by the trustee or creditors. Is this true?
A reimbursement for lost wages is not exempt from seizure in a bankruptcy, meaning you can expect the monies to be paid to the truste and in turn distributed among your creditors.
