Is credit counselling an option for me? My wife is having an affair and won\’t attend counselling with me. I\’m trying to fix things as I love her and we have minor children – but she\’s spending money like crazy. We have four credit cards and line of credit almost maxed out. I need to stop the bleeding until I decide my next course of action.

Likely credit counselling won’t be to useful as it can’t help to resolve difficulties with financs wehn one of the two parties is not in attendance. The only thing I can really suggest is that you try to remove her name from any cards or accounts you have. Once that is done you may be able to look at something like OPD, a proposal or possibly a bankruptcy depending on how large the resulting debt is.
