Judgment against you

If you have a Judgment against you for a student loan, and you graduated in 2000, what happens to the Judgment if your Division I Proposal is accepted ? What happens to it in the event of bankruptcy ? Under both circumstances, can it later be revived after the conclusion of each ?

  1. Barton Goth, CIRP, Trustee in Bankruptcy says:

This all depends on when the Division I Proposal is filed. If you have been out of school for at least 7 years at the date the proposal is filed then the debt will be cleared with all your others.

This same 7 year rule exists with a bankruptcy as well.
