Posted on Wednesday, October 08, 2008

I was wondering if child support is considered as income when applying for bankruptcy?

Yes, child support is considered income during a bankruptcy. So this means that if your employment income and the child support you receive are greater than the amount that is listed on the Superintendent Surplus Guideline, the result may be that your bankruptcy could cost slightly more than the minimum.
