being sued and judgement

I\’m being sued by a passenger of a vehicle that I was driving. The amount is far more than I would be able to pay ( > 100000). If I chose the bankruptcy route what would happen to this judgment?

  1. Barton Goth, CIRP, Trustee in Bankruptcy says:

This depends on the type of law suit you are dealing with. What you need to do is to bring a copy of the relating documents to a local trustee and have them review the exact nature of this judgement and they will be able to determine if it is a debt that can be released if a bankruptcy is filed.
